I jumped out of bed, quickly threw on the first clothes I could find, grabbed my bag and keys, and rushed down the stairs to my car before leaving the packhouse. On the way, I sent a mind-link to Jordan, letting him know he was in charge until I got back. I didn’t give him a timeline or share too many details; I just needed to get there fast. The drive to Sasha’s house took me three long hours. As soon as I arrived, the door swung open, and I dashed inside, where a guy quickly led me to Axel. He was in the spare bedroom, practically unconscious, tossing and turning while covered in sweat. I leaned down and felt his forehead; he was burning up. I pulled open his shirt to check for any injuries but found none on his chest. Rolling him over, I noticed a couple of tiny pinpricks on his back.
