I noticed it was late afternoon, so I reluctantly got out of bed, still feeling quite drained. I made my way downstairs, where Mom was busy preparing dinner. “I wasn't sure if I should wake you up,” she said, glancing over her shoulder. “Yeah, I didn't want to sleep too much; it'd throw my whole schedule off,” I replied, pouring myself a cup of coffee before taking a seat. “That’s a fair point.
