As soon as I was ready for school, Mom and Walker headed out for work. I filled my thermos with coffee, grabbed my bag, and left the house. Walking down the long driveway, I passed the new houses under construction. Once I hit the road, I noticed a lot of people looking my way. It seemed they hadn’t realized I was back in town.
