Saturday morning arrived, and I woke up early. I decided to take advantage of the quiet streets and went for a jog through town while most people were still asleep—except the warriors out training. When I returned to the packhouse, I grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge and headed upstairs to my room.
After a quick shower and getting dressed, I went back downstairs. The kitchen was still empty, so I made my own breakfast and sat at the island with a book in hand.
“I thought teenagers liked to sleep in on weekends,” Alpha Axel said as he entered, wearing only a pair of shorts.
“I’m used to early mornings. Back at Blood Howl Pack, I was always on the early shift during weekends. I guess the habit stuck,” I replied, not looking up from my book.
