Although my duties and responsibilities have significantly lessened since Kyle’s appointment to Beta, there were still the occasional nights where I had to stay late at work. This was that kind of night. The death of three very important people in my life will forever haunt my very soul but discussing burials and funeral ceremonies edged me away from my sanity even more. Kyle offered to do it for me but I knew this was one of things I had to do no matter how painful it was.
My mind drifted between funeral arrangements and of Lacey who’s fast asleep. For the past few days, she’s been hauled up in our room. Lacey says she’s fine but I know she still thinks it’s her fault for losing the baby.
She said it’s a boy.
