Aurora didn't have the same contacts as her uncle. She couldn't get the same things he could get with a snap of her fingers. But she did have access to his passwords and knew where he hid the key.
So she broke into the house and found what she needed. Her next target.
Aurora got dressed that night in all dark clothing. When she saw her uncle calling her, she ignored it and grabbed a gun off the wall and started out.
It was ten o'clock when Aurora found herself on the roof across from a office building.
Hearing her phone ring again, "Damn it." She cursed. Answering she snapped, "What part of leave me alone didn't you hear?" Pablo sighed rubbing his eyes, "Aurora please let's talk about this."
Aurora rolled her eyes, "Sorry I was too damaged for you and your perfect wife to fix. Just adopt a dog they don't talk back." Hanging up, Aurora tossed her phone in her bag and went back to work.
In the meeting Aurora was about to shoot up, Michael Rivera was sitting at the head of the table cockily. He was leaned back enjoying a whiskey and Aurora's mind raced seeing his nasty smirk.
He stood up panting as her mother whimpered when another man got on top of her. He walked over to the little girl watching in horror as her father was electrocuted to death and grabbed her face.
Chuckling he whispered with his nasty smelling breath, "What a pretty little girl. You'll be as good as your mother I bet."
Looking through her scope, Aurora put one perfectly through his head. Taking her gun, Aurora quickly made herself scarce and jumped on the subway. Shaking all over, Aurora jumped when someone asked, "You okay?"
Turning Aurora looked at a guy staring at her concerned. "Yeah. Yeah I'm good." Seeing him holding a sketch book she complimented his art, "Cool."
When Aurora got off the train she jerked suddenly when someone grabbed her arm. Glaring at Cypher she hissed, "Not in the mood, piss off Cy."
Cypher scowled at her and dragged her out of the subway terminal and to his mustang. When they got in he snapped, "You have your uncle and aunt worried sick about you."
Aurora rolled her eyes, "They don't need to be. Neither do you." Cypher made a noise, "Oh please you're spiraling, and we can see it. When was the last time you got a decent sleep?" Aurora didn't respond and Cypher knew the answer.
A while.
"You need to get help Aurora, this isn't natural," Aurora didn't even look at the man as he pulled up to her place. "Aurora I'm just saying it because I care-." Aurora turned to the man annoyed, "I know but honestly I didn't ask for you to. I can take care of myself and I don't need some guy holding my hand to do so."
Aurora then got out of the car and slammed the door behind her.
Walking to her door, Aurora looked up suddenly when someone approached her. "Hi." Looking at the handsome man smiling at her Aurora nodded, "Hi." Trying to go into her place, Aurora groaned when he said, "Yeah I'm Jaxon. I'm new to the building."
Aurora shrugged, "I wouldn't have known or cared either way. Can I help you?" Jaxon's smile flattered for a second before it came back, "Sorry I just...you're the first normal looking person I've seen in the building all day. I was just speaking, reaching out."
Aurora nodded and chuckled lightly, "Look, you reek of the 'I wanna be famous' douche bags that come to L.A trying to act or model. You're not too hideous so you might luck out and kiss the right ass or suck the right clit. Word of advice pretty boy? Get the f**k out of this apartment because of someone doesn't rob you, they'll f**k up that pretty face you're so proud of."
Jaxon's jaw was on the ground as Aurora opened her door and before he could speak Aurora told him, "And just so we're clear no I don't want a friend and I don't want to sleep with you. Good night." Slamming the door rudely in his face, Aurora locked her door.
Turning on the tv, Aurora looked as the media covered Michael Rivera's death. "-Rivera was killed by a single gunshot to the head from a sniper rifle. Minutes before his death, his image was tarnished with proof his abusive nature. Mr. Rivera also seemed to be involved in a slew of corrupt and unofficial business with other business owners. More on this story later."
Smiling Aurora knew she was cracking down on her enemy. She'd get the head of the snake, and maybe...just maybe she'd get some peace.
