Wedding ring shopping. There was only one jeweler in the city, and if they planned on having a wedding that week, she would have to pick from what they had in the shop, but Emma didn’t really like anything in the shop.
She liked her silver-black stone jewels, and all those rings were huge golden diamond-encrusted rings. They tried on a couple that Christiaan showed her, but even he agreed that none of them looked good on her thin, long fingers.
She suggested that they try to find something for him first while she decided, and they found a ring quickly that looked really good. Noticing her distress, the salesgirl disappeared to the back and was gone for a while.
