This was dark magic like I had never seen before. These things should be dead. There is no way they could survive that kind of explosion. But yet, here they are. Ren led the vampire warriors into the fighting with the wolves, while I quickly turned to the witches and Fae, barking orders about which spells to combine to kill the beasts with magic. Before the battle began, Ruby and I had put a protection spell on as many of our loved ones as we could but it wasn’t going to last long once the attack started. Ruby’s energy would be taken up by her own defence and then it would all be down to me to hold the spell together.
