It has been a whirlwind of action since we arrived back at the pack. Everyone wants to see us, talk to us, check in on us. All I wanted to do was lock myself away in my room with Calli and worship every inch of her body for hours on end, but of course, with my luck, we were preparing for a war and Calli and I were the ones who had the most information.
Everyone had welcomed her into this crazy, dysfunctional family with open arms and tight hugs. She seemed happy enough to be here but I worried about her. She had told me what had happened in those wards and even though she said she was fine, I wasn’t so sure. She acted tough. She said she had to be, but I wanted her to know that she could be vulnerable with me. I wanted to be her safe space like she was mine.
