“WHAT THE f**k?” The witch shouted out in shock. When she threw the dagger at Elaine’s feet, she had no idea that Elaine would actually cut her wrists without giving it a second thought. She watched Elaine’s weak body fall to the ground but her eyes remained fixed on Emmett.
How could Elaine sacrifice herself for a man? Did she not care about her own life?
Elaine’s reason for living began and ended with Emmett. The witch was witnessing an incredible display of love. These two people were miles away from each other but it was clear that they were both able to feel that they were going to die… together.
