Atlas was used to being in Hell without Lucifer. Somehow, Hell seemed a bit less chaotic without Lucifer's presence. It was ironic, but Atlas knew it was because all the demons were aware that there's nothing more terrifying than messing up so badly that they'd disturb Lucifer during his trips to the human world. There had been a few instances before of it happening, and it was true that Lucifer did have much more of a temper whenever he had to come back while he was still enjoying his time away.
