Micah cast a cold glance at Reece and warned, ‘Don’t poke your nose into other people’s business.’
Reece was taken aback by Micah’s icy gaze, but he couldn’t help but smile. ‘Why are you even involved in this project? Don’t tell me it’s not because of her.’
Micah remained silent.
They walked side by side down the road until Micah finally spoke up after a long while. ‘Do you know the man who was with Darya earlier?’
‘Brion Miller, he introduced himself. Seems like he’s Darya’s partner for this project,’ Reece replied with a shrug. ‘I have no clue where Darya found him, but his resume’s pretty impressive.’
Micah didn’t respond.
He’d seen Brion’s resume, too.
Which was why he was amazed that Darya managed to lure the renowned biochemist away from Lorendale University.
