“Logan?” I try not to sound too shocked, “Can I help you?”
My ex-friend and Hunter’s beta-to-be looks at me as if I am the one who disturbed him and not the other way around.
“Not me,” he says, furrowing his brows, “It’s Hunter. He says it’s time and he wants to see you in the woods. That’s all that I know.”
“Oh,” I mumble.
I’ve been meaning to talk to Hunter for a while but he was avoiding me and avoiding solving our common little problem. So, it actually makes me happy to know that now he is finally ready!
“Give me a second,” I say to Logan and grab my jacket. I kind of get it why Hunter wants to reject me in the woods. It’s still foggy there and very private. Perfect place to do it with no witnesses.
