We both lay down on the blood covered ground, the scene of our own demise and resurrection. I hold her close, I would like to say more things, I would like to do more things but the limit of my energy has been reached. It is pushing the extent just to hold her, that is all I have left.
I breathe a sigh of relief, there has never been a truer statement, it is relief, pure relief.
So we just lay naked in the most filthy of states, but I am just happy holding her, I can do nothing except for smile. I don’t care about the people gathering around us, but I do have enough mind to hide Ella’s body as much as I can.
