Serena had been glad to find that Annabelle had been sleeping peacefully in her bed last night, for the first time ever she slept through the night, Annabelle having no nightmares whatsoever. When she woke up, Annabelle was hovering over her, her big blue eyes tearful as Serena sat up in a rush.
"Mummy ok" she sniffled and Serena's heart melted.
"Mummy's ok" Serena said sweeping her into a hug and kissing the top of her head with a small smile. She sat back "how about we go have a quick shower and get dressed for breakfast" she suggested as Annabelle considered carefully before nodding and following her to the bathroom.
