Right after he accepted my challenge, Adrian left the room. One of Samuel’s men was waiting outside and led him most likely to his room. When his presence in the room disappeared, I almost collapsed to the ground. Just barely, Angela caught me before that, supporting me standing on my wobbly legs.
“Lili, are you alright?” Link jumped to me, seeing that I was just barely holding myself.
“I am fine. It seems I am still not as strong as I thought I would.” I answered him. Link slowly helped to the sofa, letting me sit so I could rest. Dorian, with Alpha Samuel, both stared at me. I could read in their eyes questions, which they didn’t want to ask out loud. They had to admire the courage to stand against him, challenging him to death, but at the same time, they had to think I was insane.
