44. Darkness

My head was pounding. The incessant beeping wasn't helping either. My head felt so groggy. I opened my eyes and immediately regretted it, as the bright light in the room only increased the pain in my head. I controlled my breathing and worked on the techniques the doctors had shown me in the past. I knew it hurt, but I needed to figure out where I was. I opened my eyes once more, this time much more slowly. I looked around the room searching for any clue as to where I was. My heart dropped at the realization. I was in pure hell, otherwise known as the hospital. It was a location I wish I could erase from my mind. I'd spent so much of my life here as it was. I resented having to come back here.
