**ANOTHER TWO YEARS LATER** I was sixteen now. Jax was eighteen. Jesse was sixteen too, but I tried not to think about him much. He was still as annoying and cruel as ever, maybe worse now that Jax and I were still together. People said it wouldn’t last — that I was just a distraction for Jax, the future Alpha. But two years later, we were still together. And even though we hadn’t gone that far, what we had felt real. Strong. Ours. Everyone still thought I didn’t have a wolf.
