The Alpha and Luna came back three days later. No one knew where they’d gone, not even Jax. That morning, I was in the kitchen with Hazel when a car pulled up outside. “They’re back.” She said, glancing at the window. “Finally.” Jax and Zack rushed downstairs, half-awake but alert. Jax looked tense. “Did you see them?” He asked. “Not yet.” The front door opened. Alpha Joseph and Luna Elsie stepped in, both looking different—tired.
