Madeline and Madison are good kids.
Standing beside them as we walked felt like I didn’t even need to worry about anything. Matthias did mention that they are not one to suddenly walk away, and be gone more than a minute. That is why he had panicked the first time that I had met the two. Both seemed genuinely excited about having to pick out their own items.
I saw them looking over two different items with focused expressions. Madeline would compare what she had with Madison, and they would whisper to each other before placing it back down. They had been doing it for quite a while now, and it was impossible that I would not notice it.
Confused, I walked forward to see what was happening.
