She passed the time imagining said scenarios in her head. Parker barely noticed that she was not paying attention to what he was saying. He eventually asked Sammy something and she was reluctantly pulled into his one-sided conversation.
Parker took a bite of dessert then got a spoonful to try and feed her. She had never been so horrified by a sugary treat flying at her face.
“I’m full,” she told him, trying to dodge his attempts.
“Just one bite, Irene. I just want you to taste how delicious it is.”
