Chapter Forty-Seven Stripping out of my clothes, I let them fall to the floor before I headed over to the shower. I turned on the water, adjusting the taps before stepping under the cold spray. My breath hissed out of me as the water rained down on my skin. It warmed quickly and I turned, wetting down my hair. There were several glass dark green bottles in a metal rack beneath the shower head. I picked the shampoo bottle, uncapping it and dumping a generous amount into my hand. It smelled like eucalyptus and mint - a sharp, clean scent that cut through the fog in my mind. My fingers worked the lather through my hair, massaging my scalp as I let the warmth of the shower soothe my tense muscles.
