Marlie’s POV
I felt my body surrounded by warmth and the gentle sound of running water. My whole being felt relaxed and calm, which was weird considering the last state I was in. I think I passed out or something. Maybe I’m dead? That would explain why I feel so light and calm, I must be in some sort of afterlife.
I tried to open my eyes but they felt as if they were glued shut. Lifting my hand, I went to touch my face and felt the warmth trickle down from my hand onto my cheek; odd. I lowered my hand to my eyes and rubbed them before I was actually able to open them. I looked down and found myself lying in a bathtub, which is strange because the last place I was at, was in the corner of my little room and there wasn’t even a shower or a bath in the small bathroom attached to it.
