“Congratulations, you have a beautiful baby girl,” the doctor said to me as the gentle cries of my newborn baby flooded the room. The nurse took my baby and cleaned her up, wrapping her in a pink blanket and handing her to me. I stared into her beautiful gray eyes and instantly felt myself fill with pride and love.
“She’s gorgeous.” I turned to look at Bree who was still unconscious and needing to be stitched up. “Just like you.”
“Come, I will show you how to care for your pup while the doctor fixes up your mate,” one of the nurses told me, and I just simply stood and followed them out of the room with my baby in my arms.
