It had been three days of me sitting in my room doing nothing. I never even left the room to see my daughter and friends. Damian had Omegas bringing food up to me for each meal even though I was hardly eating, and he stayed away, sleeping in another room on the Alpha floor. I knew he was just giving me the space I asked for, but I couldn’t help but feel like he blamed me for everything. If he didn’t have a human mate, then he could easily have an heir whenever he wanted, but now that we know that my body will reject wolf offspring until it feels ready to care for a pup, it changed everything for him.
