“You’ve lost the baby.”
The words echoed through my mind and I felt like I had been hit by a train. How was this possible? While miscarriages are quite common for humans, it is not nearly as common for mated werewolves, and even less common for Alphas. It was a shock; something I didn’t even consider could ever happen.
“Is there something we did wrong?” I asked the doctor in a shaky voice as silent tears trickled down my cheeks.
