“Congratulations, you’re pregnant!” The doctor cheered, and I felt my heart skip a beat. I was shocked and speechless, it was a rollercoaster of emotions all happening at once.
“P-pregnant?” Marlie stuttered, looking at the doctor nervously. I closed my mouth and looked at my mate, reaching out for her hand.
“Yup!” The doctor smiled proudly, looking at Marlie and then me. “I will do a few more tests to make sure that the baby is healthy, but then you may go home and rest. I am sure you both need it.”
