In the morning, the sun has risen, a warm breeze blows, there is hardly a cloud in the sky. Layla stretches as she smiles hauntingly, such a perfect day for a monster's life to end. She owes him nothing at all. She feels no regret or remorse. She has zero feelings for this so-called father of hers. Most people would feel like they were helped to this point by their father, instead she is at this point despite her father's best efforts.
The night was quiet, a night spent in reflection. While they liked to see where Layla lived a large portion of her life, they are now close enough to the pack where a centerpiece of the family went through so much. Layla is new and they have new memories to build with her, but each have to grieve for Hayley all over again.
