While Luke is still in shock he can see the situation clearly enough, the two solo wolves don't seem harmful. It is worth just allowing them in to hear the story even if it is an impossibilty. Layla looks exactly like his mother. Her angelic face makes it impossible to doubt her. And what is the harm in hearing them out? Would they really use such a strange story to gain entry? What would be the purpose? To gain power? But they seem to have enough of that to spare.
Luke just nods dumbly, still just staring at Layla. Jake and Xander just stand back and watch, both with different thoughts, but both come to the same conclusion: they have never seen two people who look more like siblings. Xander looks at Luke.
