Star Valley

Dezzy rode up to her place in line. The opponents looked weird, yet barely seen due to how dark it was. Vanessa was a little lost at first. She looked about the blackened tracks and into the blackened sky. Her partner sighed waiting for the show to get on the move.

An asteroid flew over their heads. It became apparent where they were. Twinkling stars appeared in the distance. The faint smile on Vanessa's face froze. Neon light brightened the track in trippy patterns.

Panic intensified when Vanessa noticed there were no safety rails to keep them from falling off the track. There was no end to the depth of space, nor the length of the track. Vanessa's heart moved in various places in an attempt to escape.

"Why couldn't this be other place?" thought Vanessa.

"This is one of the harder tracks. So be on your A-game," said Dezzy, not noticing how freaked Vanessa was.

For the first time, Vanessa wanted to run away from the challenge in front of her. Empty surges of barf ran up her throat. Her fingers trembled next to her buckles. The changing lights made her a little dizzy. That cat appeared above their go-kart in a little spacesuit. It flapped that flag and waved it down. Dezzy hit the gas for a steady start.

A bomb was thrown into the crowd of cars, allowing a light blue guy to pass. He took the lead until A big guy threw a ring that threw him towards the back.

Dezzy struggled to orient her go-kart while screaming profanities. She activated her rocket, to speed out of the crowd of bumbling racers.

The go-kart rammed straight towards the edge. Dezzy slammed the brakes into a drift that took her towards the center. While turned the wrong way, a missile hit her hood.

All of the players passed her. But she got on track and pushed through the race. Vanessa shot the largest driver in an orange go-kart. Dezzy sped past him.

They turned into a straight path. The lights continued to sway Vanessa's vision. The track itself felt as though it was stretching far and then near again.

Dezzy remained focused on other players to not be swayed.

Using her peripherals, dezzy spotted a speed booster. She took it to catch up.

The track turned sideways for a curb. Dezzy drifted to bypass many players. a woman aimed in at them, but Vanessa shot her before she could fire.

"Empty your ammo!" yelled Dezzi as she came towards a power box.

Vanessa emptied her g*n firing at the crowd of drivers just in time for when Dezzy hit a power box.

The screen on Vanessa's g*n showed bananas. She started throwing them until Dezzy told her to save one.

Like a wave of water, the track rose up and down. They hanged in 4th place getting through the waves.

Asteroids began raining on the field. Dezzy did well to dodge them all while racing down the track.

A missile came rushing towards them. Dezzy yelled at Vanessa to toss the banana. Once done, the missile hit the banana. But the lack of focus from Dezzy caused them to get hit by an asteroid.

Once again the players passed them effortlessly.

"f**k! I f*****g hate you all!" yelled Dezzy.

The track spiraled down once into a see-through rainbow tunnel. Dezzy sped up and took the risk.

She drove off the track to the lower track, bypassing nearly 6 players. The player in front of her got shot, landing her in 3rd place. She drove through the tunnel, getting a power-up.

It took less than a split second of appearing on her screen for her to activate the invincibility boost. She cursed every car while racing towards a sweating man.

He was knocked off track, ending him from the race.

Dezzy continued towards a red-muscular man in armor when the ground disappeared. Vanessa felt as though she died and no power up could save her. It was worse.

They were shot upwards along with the muscular man and landed on the Milkyway. Both landed in front of power-ups.

The kitty flew by in its spacesuit displaying the 2nd lap sign.

The muscular man laid out bombs to blow up in their face.

The light blue guy shot out missiles that canceled the bombs. Vaness fired 2 shots at the muscular man, missing each one.

The light blue guy caught a speed up that helped him catch up to the muscular man. Instead of passing him, he slammed his vehicle into him.

"Shoot that motherfucker!" yelled Dezzy.

Vanessa shot the muscular man, allowing Dezzy to smash her go-kart into him.

The muscular man fell off the Milkyway, hitting asteroids along the way.

There was a line of power-ups on the Milkyway. A small star was on the other side of the one near Dezzy. She avoided it and missed the power-up.

Yet the star exploded anyway. They flew behind the bright blue man, worried he may fire. Luckily he didn't despite grabbing a power-up.

Dezzy moved from behind him, just as the lady got near. With Dezzy out of the way, the bright blue man dropped a bomb on the lady that sent her rolling back.

"That was so nice," said Vanessa, shocked by the bright blue man's kindness to spare them.

But with the Milky way turning into a sideways track, Dezzy took the opportunity to smash her go-kart into the man to knock him off the track.

Vanessa gasped as Dezzy said, "Betrayal is only a small part of this game".

The track rolled to the other side. Dezzy was nearly caught off guard by the mesmerizing colors. But she kept up well to the track's dirty tricks.

The tracked matched evenly to a ring around a planet. Likewise, a ring grabbed their go-kart.

"f**k!" yelled Dezzy.

They were thrown back into a small skinny driver. The driver stumbled and laid a bomb that blew them up afterward.

"Oh my f*****g God! I hate you fuckers!" screamed Dezzy.

They were now in last place, being fifth. She continued driving, noticing portions of the ring rose and fell.

Dezzy was sure to doge every rise and fall. It increased the time for her to make it through the ring. But at least she didn't die. She even got a power-up through it all.

The ring dropped them entirely to a flat track. The other four players were in sight along with a few turns and speed-ups.

Dezzy hit the turns and avoided the speed-ups to maintain control. Vanessa launched her bombs across the track. One fell off the track while the other two completely missed.

They remained in fifth place for the duration of the turns. No player even bothered looking at them.

The flying cat displayed a sign indicating it was the final lap.

The track itself split into two to form a half of a star.

Dezzy trailed the lady on a track by themselves, "Uh-huh, let's go b***h"!

The lady left bombs to blow up on Dezzy. Luckily she dodged them all completely.

She hit a speed booster and leaned into a drift through a sharp turn.

After grabbing a power-up in the drift, Vanessa shot at the lady.

The shot missed and the lady activated her speed power-up to pass them. Dezzy trailed behind her and to allow Vanessa to get a clear aim. She shot the lady off the star into the abyss.

The rainbow track spiraled up smoothly. They were in fourth place, far in the rear. The tracks began to change from a see-through rainbow road to hard rainbow tiles with rockets underneath. 

Vanessa shot out the rest of her bullets at the man who shot out rings earlier in time to get another power-up.

After obtaining a speed booster, Dezzy used it to bypass most of the players up the spiraling track.

They hit a large room. The floor was broken into circle lanes that spun in different directions at different speeds.

Dezzy hit the fast track going one way. A tiny man shot her from behind. They fell to a reverse lane. The large orange man threw a bomb at them that sent them further away.

Dezzy turned into a power-up and activated the newly acquired invisibility power-up. Kitty glided around her car, allowing her to ignore the odd tracks and race through the room.

Invisibility was soon wearing off with the finish line in sight. Bombs were hurled towards them as Dezzy finished in first place.

"Thank f*****g God! Now Pattie can stay off my fat a*s," said Dezzy in relief.
