The water from above slammed to their heads without an ounce of passion. The many bubbles in their face disoriented them more than the darkness itself.
Andres led everybody to swim-up to the top. Logan and Vanessa had begun swimming the two girls. Vanessa felt something brush by her back. She freaked out for a moment, pushing Mina above her.
Chlorine stung her eyes as she kept them open to potentially see what was in the water. All that was seen was shades of black. Luckily, Logan had noticed something was wrong.
After lifting Leira, Logan used his water abilities to push the two girls up to shore. Lifeguards swam up to Mina and Leira, bringing them up as a way to simulate this action.
Logan brought his hand to Vanessa's shoulder and used his free hand to shoot out a small flare in each direction. They illuminated small portions of the water, just enough for them to see.
An odd fish was spotted. It was only one. It gracefully swam around the team as though it was looking for something. Only its thin tail was spotted in Logan's light.
After realizing the fight that was coming, Logan used a special enchanting spell on himself and Vanessa to help them breathe in the water. The lifeguards came once more to place small oxygen tanks in Vanessa and Logan's mouth.
The two swam after the creature. Its swift movements allowed Logan to only able to reveal its tail with his flares. A very odd, brownish color. The tail was at times accompanied by two large, flapping fins. They were thin as well, and nearly see-through.
The fish creature appeared to be following the team who was already above water and swimming towards land. As Logan swam after the creature with Vanessa by his side, she recalled a big player mistake, tunnel vision.
Vanessa grabbed Logan's arm to turn herself around. A second fish had bit towards her. She used her feet to keep distance between them as she was slammed into Logan.
As he pushed himself out of the way, Vanessa grabbed ahold of the fish's snout calling, "Burn".
For a brief moment, the fish was heated. Yet allowing water to nearly suffocate Vanessa. The odd fish flinched out of her grasp, smacking her with a heavy flap.
Her head rang trying to orient itself for safety. Despite the warm water, her skin had goosebumps. Vanessa attempted to relax from the impact, but the water pressure sustained the trauma.
A flare appeared in front of her. It set off revealing an unearthly fish the size of a hammerhead shark. Its chilling eyes were grey and tiny. Its large mouth was smiling. The teeth were small, but many with two fangs at the size of a finger sticking from the top. It wasn't like a fish of a lake, but rather a vampire-like fish of the sea.
Its fins flapped out like bat wings just before it bit at her. Logan smacked his palm into the vampire fish's gut and shot a blade through it.
The vampire fish flapped its fins uncontrollably as it began swimming its way to the bottom.
Vanessa watched through the dying flare as the fish creature twirled its thin manta ray-like tail. Likewise, she saw another thin tail swim nearby.
Logan Looked over as another vampire fish tackled him for a bite.
He grappled the fish while trying to weave hand signs with one hand. Unfortunately, the vampire fish's vigorous movements didn't allow Logan to properly form hand seals.
Vanessa swam after remembering she had a skill set for such a situation. She performed a reality check to switch her fighting skill set as she barely kept up with Logan's attacker.
After catching up, Vanessa punched the vampire fish once on its oversized fin. The punch itself did nothing due to the lack of momentum underwater.
But upon making contact with her fist, Vanessa shot out a special monk style attack that magnified her actual punching ability.
On impact, the vampire fish ignored Logan for its real opponent, finding only Vanessa at its side. It cautiously swam towards her prepping its next attack.
Vanessa kicked through the water to land another punch to the vampire fish's snout. It fell towards the bottom without a single muscle twitching.
The team made it to land. A third vampire fish bit her blind spot. Mina's ferret latched onto its fin in an attempt to bite it off.
Logan swam towards the vampire fish, alarming Vanessa of the creature behind her. It tackled Logan instead, trying to shake off the ferret.
Vanessa grabbed its lanky tail as Logan maintained a firm grip on the snout.
With the vampire fish's quick and steady swimming, he flipped a few hand seals with his free hand. Slamming his palm into the vampire fish, Logan extended another blade into its head.
Both the ferret and Vanessa could tell Logan had won due to the creature's change in swimming speed. Logan himself waited for his two allies to be near before he tapped Vanessa's shoulder to swim up.
