Orion

The lion prowled circles around Hakim and Vanessa. l*****g its lips and sizing its prey.

Vanessa analyzed its movements before saying, "Ahh, I like cats. Maybe that's why we are fighting a lion".

"I am a Leo," said Hakim trying to devise a plan.

The lion was four times the size of a normal lion. It grew impatient waiting for a chance to attack. Finally, it pounced across a number of large crates.

Vanessa sliced a wind attack towards the lion's nose. It was a heavy strike that caused the lion to flinch. Hakim gained some distance before shooting out a flurry of fireballs.

The lion ran towards Vanessa at full speed whereas she activated a stunt.

Once near, she evaded the lion's bite and jumped to its back. Holding the mane, she flipped her sword to an underhand grip and stabbed into the lion's back.

It shook itself, knocking her off. It roared aloud before jumping to maul her to death.

Hakim jumped in the way to fire a lightning attack directly to its nose.

The beast backed away from the two as Hakim prepared a follow-up. A giant club slammed into the back of the beast's head by a goliath. He tore off the lion's head and held it up.

The goliath was heavily armed in brass metals. He held his weapons and the head into the air, cheering his name, "Orion". Next on his list were his only audience. Amazed by his strength, the two jumped to their feet.

Orion slammed his club at Hakim but was parried by Vanessa. Hakim shot a blast of lightning into Orion's bluish-white eye. The armor resisted magic, allowing him to swing once more onto Vanessa.

She ducked the second swing and sliced his forearm. His follow-up roundhouse kick sent her flying. Hakim was now vulnerable to an onslaught of attacks that he could barely dodge.

Hakim flipped out a knife, seemingly for his defense. The goliath continued, nearly laughing at his pathetic defense measure.

Once an opening was available, Hakim threw his knife towards Orion's face. He immediately paired it with a strike of lightning that hit the knife right next to Orion's head.

Having realized the plan, Orion's red-eye shined brighter for a moment. He crouched low before spinning with his club. In his tornado-like spin, he chased Vanessa and Hakim.

The two ran across the other side of the rocket to avoid being hit. But the speed of the goliath was too fast. Once near, he broke out into the air and slammed his club into the ground.

The earth shook, causing the two to lose their footing. Hakim launched a sequence of fire bullets. The bluish-eye shined, allowing Orion to easily run through the assault.

Vanessa skid below the flames holding her katana in her left hand. She uppercut Orion, followed by an underhand strike to the hip. However, Orion avoided the stab by kicking himself away.

Hakim was proud to see that Vanessa picked up on his strategy without a word spoken. It reminded him of fighting with Logan and Andres. He pulled out a second knife, prepared for a win.

Orion watched as his two opponents sauntered towards him. Their confidence was scary. But his ego was greater. He called out his name once more before tossing himself in a rage against them.

Vanessa met him head-on with her katana still in the left underhand position.

His swing was mighty enough to one-shot an orc. Luckily, her fade was slick enough to bypass a fox.

She stabbed towards his calf, only to miss from his jump towards Hakim.

Hakim in turn shifted his body away and threw his knife past Orion. Vaness stabbed her blade into the ground and kicked the well-thrown knife into the goliath's hip.

Orion slammed his club a mere foot away from Hakim, flinching from the pain. His blueish-eye glowed brightly as Vanessa channeled a stream of lightning into the knife.

Noticing the club couldn't conduct electricity, Hakim grabbed it away.

Orion screamed as he felt his hips shattering from the tiny knife. He activated his red eye instead to push himself away. Vanessa didn't back away.

She ran into him without any weapon. Sure his reach on her was greater. And with the red-eye glowing his power was even greater than before.

A few attempts were made to channel lightning into the knife in his hip. Though it worked, Orion seemed unphased in his rage.

No matter how well she ducked and dodged, Orion maintained the upper hand. A single punch could mean her end.

Hakim jumped with her blade in hand and threw it towards Orion's head. Though afar, Orion immediately reached for Hakim.

Vanessa seized the second to thrust her palms into her katana in mid-air straight into Orion's neck.

His head flinched back the second the neck was pierced. Vanessa channeled lightning into the katana once more which split open Orion's neck.

Blood spilled across Vanessa's face. Hakim watched the b****y scene with nothing more than mere drips on himself. It was a glorious win. But the two were ready to collect their limit break.

As the goliath's body fell lifeless to the ground, light from his eyes rose in mid-air. They formed a singular purple light that further split itself into two. One went towards Vanessa while the other to Hakim.

The option to name their limit break appeared before them. It was quickly decided to name it "Orion".

"So how does it work?" asked Vanessa.

It was as simple as any other ability. Hakim requested a practice run. Eight brown fish appeared alone. Instead of attacking, they floated stagnantly.

When with Hakim, Vanessa was able to call the command "Orion" along with any element they possess to activate the limit break.

Vanessa called out, "Orion Wind," whereas Hakim called, "Orion Fire".

Balls of wind circled Vanessa in contrast to the flames that surrounded Hakim. The magical attacks spiraled just out of arms reach for the two. They tested the attack on the dummy fish.

Each hit was like a full swinging club. The fish were knocked away to a considerable distance. It was likely due to the fact they were weak and in mid-air. However, the limit break was still a force to reckon with.

There was a single fish that swam at a distance. The two were prompted by the system to use the "Launch" command.

Upon doing so, their spiraling orbs launched towards the last fish. It was an amazing attack that provided both offense and defense for one another. Surely it would help come in handy one day.
