Wrath

Vanessa sliced her blade at Logan's head. He blocked her strike with his sword along with her follow up strike. She refused to stop for even a moment. Logan reached down for a card just for Vanessa to kick his hand away. He attempted to stab her leg but was too slow. She cut the games, walking right into Logan's range. He backed away to keep distance as blood dripped across the floor. It was amazing how Vanessa taunted him around the room. Her feelings may have been in conflict, but she wasn't about to allow somebody to betray her team. Coughing blood, Logan came to a halt. Vanessa held him cornered with her blade staring right between his eyes. Struggling to maintain his balance, Logan remained calm yet distressed. Vanessa sliced her blade at Logan only for him to duck. The blade jammed right into the wall allowing Logan to escape. She grabbed his shirt and tackled him to the ground. Logan held his blade out, allowing Vanessa to kick it away while she repetitively punched him in the face. The holes in her body burnt with each strike. Tears showered Logan's face as he watched punch him mercilessly. Unfortunately, he was no better off. Each passing breath depleted his life. His muscles were drained. And while Vanessa was relying on rage to drive her punches, he was counting on wits to beat the game. Vanessa was drained when Logan asked if she had enough. Appalled by his attitude, she rolled over to pull her katana out of the wall. Logan hopped up and flipped out a knife. He wiped the blood away from his mouth and leaned back for his lovely teammate. She sliced her blade at him once more, noticing his fluid parry. "Vanessa, hold it," he said as he continued stepping away. She parried his knife again and pressed him into the wall. Mina watched hoping Vanessa wouldn't stop. Vanessa was pressing her katana towards Logan's neck when he asked her to look at her arms. She didn't bother with his tricks. Her only goal was to push past his measly knife to beat him out of the game he loves and show him the true value of friendship. Logan rotated his knife to slam her sword to his hilt and pushed himself away. After gaining distance, he held his arms up to show he had no trick planned. Once again, he asked her to merely look at her arm. Hesitant at first, Vanessa took a glance at her arm. The small holes had healed. Even the bigger holes appeared to be a lot smaller. There was no pain coming from her back and her legs were nearly as healthy as a horse. Logan explained that the curse targeted their weakness of virtue. It was only upon facing a teammate that she was able to overcome this unique curse. Mina stared in a corner confused about the situation. Logan pleaded that Mina wasn't just the key to winning, but that she also needed Vanessa's help as a person. Though she didn't trust him, Vanessa felt the sincerity in Logan's voice. "What does she need help with?" asked Vanessa. As Mina tried to say she was fine, Logan cut in revealing she's a dancer. In fact, she multi-classed into both hunter and dancer. Logan turned away to give the girls some privacy and kept a lookout. Vanessa sat next to Mina on the ground for a chat. Mina was a very self-conscious girl. Brave as she was to take her beatings, she was shy to show off her talents. It was ironic that the two girls felt the same. It wasn't common for people to perform k-pop dances now Chica videos. They both felt like the biggest weirdoes with no twerking ability to be remotely relatable. Still scared of Logan, Mina continuously checked to see if he was looking at her. Luckily Vanessa was not only able to convince her otherwise, but also able to c***k a smile out of her. It was fine until Logan opened his big mouth to inform them that dancers can buff the party through dancing. The two girls paid him no mind as they continued their chat about dancing. He heard them mumbling, rumbling and even giggling. This annoyed Logan. But not nearly as much as hew was alarmed by a noise he heard. The scribbles on the walls were taking shape again to tell their stories. he hadn't paid much attention earlier, but the stories told weren't random. Logan watched as he saw images of him and Vanessa running in the walls. Sometimes together while others apart. He saw himself holding a teddy bear as a child. Swords fell as the small hole in Logan's chest began burning. Images of his youth flashed as he and his teammate landed an attack on a woman. The sight gave Logan a chill, stumbling in the room. His palms sweated as though he was there that day to battle her again. It wasn't her work. But the images alluded towards her. The images went flat. "Vanessa! We have to go!" he said. "Oki, but let me have one more minute with Mina," answered Vanessa. Mina took Vanessa's hand and began to dance a few songs. The two sang pretty well, though Mina's dancing was beyond your average girl. Vanessa was able to tell she Mina could dance better than her. She didn't know how, but Mina became comfortable with her body revealed towards Vanessa. Logan watched again as the images in the wall took shape. This time it was a map of the facility. He memorized the floor layout for the exit. However, there was a bulge of darkness moving towards their indicated position. Once again, the images faded away. He gripped his knife while quietly casting a spell on it. It may not have been powerful, but he had a hunch the spell was needed. The scribbles were calm. Not a drop of noise was heard. The two girls were smiling and dancing to relieve Mina of her curse. Even the ferret had its nose in the midst. Vanessa realized there was an eerie feeling in the air. As usual, Logan was ready. A blackened figure exploded from the wall to tackle Logan. It slammed his face into the ground. He took a brief moment to stab the darkness with his enchanted knife. The darkness slowly faded away, revealing a white woman as the true body. Her hair was as black as the darkness and her arms were covered in tattoos. Vanessa impaled the woman with her katana as Mina kept dancing to buff the two. Logan kicked himself away and lead everybody away from the fight as he picked up his sword. Confused as ever, Vanessa grabbed Mina and the ferret to escape. It wasn't like Logan to run from fights. And he sure seemed to know where he was going. Something in her said to trust Him. Explosions bursting from the walls was heard chasing them. Logan turned back, flipping a card in mid-air, and yelled, "Light-Sheild". A wall of light appeared in place of his card. It blocked the woman in her tracks for a short time. Just enough for them to escape. Powerful as it may be, the technique came from Logan's skill and strength along with Mina's dancing buffs. All four of our heroes had made it to the destination Logan saw as an escape. It was a weird-looking mirror. Instead of a reflection, it was an odd pure white liquid. Frost shook from the mirror into the air. The lady was coming near giving them no time to scan the mirror. With a leap of faith, Logan, Vanessa, Mina, and the ferret jumped in to finish the game.
