I could tell Courtney was stressing about me and Bethany going to the Pine Tree Pack, but it was something that we needed to do. Not just for ourselves, but also for the safety of our mates and the rest of our family and friends.
Courtney was pacing around the bedroom, as I got ready to leave, and her anxiety was coursing through our mate bond at an unprecedented rate. As soon as I was dressed, I walked over to my beautiful mate, then I engulfed her in a warm embrace, before I thoughtfully murmured, "Mate, I promise nothing bad will happen to me. I will be back later today."
"How can you be so sure?" she anxiously asked.
"I'm sure because of my special abilities. Nobody will be able to get close enough to cause me any harm," I confidently assured her.
