Annabel's POV
The drive back from the overlook had been quiet, the kind of quiet that wasn’t heavy but soft, like neither of us needed to fill it. I had enjoyed this little day out or date with Justin. I loved how we just went out to eat and enjoy the breeze outside and it distracted me from what was going on in my life currently. The little talks we had was fun and it reminded me of how much I loved to spend time with him. I let out a little breath, calming myself as I watched Justin drive back to my dorm. Then my phone suddenly buzzed.
I picked it up automatically, expecting some group chat notification or maybe Lisa checking in. But the subject line on the email made my stomach twist so hard I nearly dropped the phone.
