Annabel's POV I spent most of the morning sulking. Lisa had gone off to class hours ago, leaving our dorm feeling far too quiet. I tried opening a textbook and sat there at my desk staring at highlighted passages and messy notes, but nothing stuck. My head felt clogged, my chest heavy, like the weight of the dean’s words hadn’t let up since yesterday. Half the semester. Suspension.
