Jackson's POV
The pressure to complete the rejection ceremony, and to proceed with my engagement to Dolcie kept coming from the Elders council of the wolf-pack. After my warning to her she still went ahead to pressure the elders and they came after me too.
I knew my decision to lay low and not respond to their notice would only infuriate them the more, but I needed private time alone to solve all the issues at hand. Moreso, I need a break from Dolcie's drama and I was not going to negotiate that with anyone. Not even the Elders.
Once again, I was summoned by the elders council. All I ever heard them talk about was the engagement. I was tired of hearing about it, it was now annoying.
