Mikaela stood under the spray of the water. Her heart still hammered in her chest from the sound that had come from the Alpha King.
Luke had warned her the minute she got in the car and he sniffed Ryan on her. Mikaela bit into her bottom of her lip. She didn't see this coming. She didn't even think that he would care.
“Mikaela? Are you done in there?” Gina’s muffled voice reached her through the closed bathroom door. Mikaela turned off the taps and reached for the towel she had hanging just outside the shower door. She wrapped it around her body and stepped out. Gina was sitting on her bed when she walked out. She got to her feet and stood a little too close to her. She sniffed around her.
“Luke told me what happened,” she said stepping away from her. “Did the boy kiss you?”
