Marcus sat in his office brooding. Since he and Luke returned he’d closed himself off in his office. He was supposed to be concentrating on the rogue problem they might be facing, especially the email he received from Olive pack. He hasn’t told Luke about it yet. They needed to go there. But all he could concentrate on was the conversation he had with Luke in the car on their way back home. Marcus was still not sure what to do about Luke’s suspicions on why he was reacting the way he was to Mikaela. Marcus closed his eyes as their conversation ran through his mind.
“That’s not normal, Marcus,” he had said as he drove the car. “I mean think about it. You are acting territorial and everything even though you shouldn’t. That can only mean one thing.”
“What?” Marcus asked with a growl.
