Present Day Lucas skipped all his duties the rest of the day. He mindlinked Darcy to make sure she was fine in the kitchen without Celia, then kept Celia in his room. He spent the rest of the day and night showing her how much he cared, how much he had missed her. At one point, Celia suggested they go back to her house, away from where his father might find them, but Lucas said no. He wanted his father to understand that this was his mate, and he had no intention of hiding her away again.
