Silence rang across the front of the pack house as time stilled. Air rustled passed me and Irina was no longer in my arms. She collided with the figure at the car. In a blink, she had him by the hair. Her gun muzzle forced his head back as she dug it under his chin.
“Hey!” Aidan shouted as I moved towards them.
Rurik moved and blocked Aidan, pushing him back. I moved forward to Irina. But something held me back just before I reached her.
