Irina I walked numbly behind Alec and the siren called Norah. His hand hovered over her lower back. I felt disjointed from reality. How was he alive? The hole in my heart felt raw, its jagged edges bleeding again, trying to knit together around a ball of disbelief. Silently we filed into Alec room. Norah looked around and sank onto the bed.
