The walk to Leo's cabin felt longer than it should have. Half the time I was lost in thought, still in disbelief over what Ronan had told me. Who knew an Alpha could compromise?
Darius was standing outside the cabin, his back against the wall, arms crossed. When he saw me approaching, he straightened immediately and dipped his head.
"Luna." The title still felt wrong, but I didn't have the energy to correct him.
"How is he?" I asked.
"Restless and confused. He has been asking about you throughout." Darius paused. " I feel like he truly didn't mean to hurt you, Luna. He was scared. He didn't understand." Even Darius was being kind to the human he could not stand a few hours ago? So much must have happened when I was out.
I glanced at the cabin door. "Can I go in?" Darius nodded
