RONAN Morning came too quickly and once again I had barely slept. The patrol had been quiet and uneventful, which should have been a relief. Instead, it left me with too much time to think about the conversation with Phoebe looming over me. I could feel Iris through the bond, moving around while making coffee. It had been so long since I had had quiet mornings with someone in my space and the sense of not being alone. I showered quickly and dressed, then headed downstairs.
