One week later, Lily was brought to me from the pack. I had healed significantly and by then and the seizures had faded to occasional tremors that came mostly at night. Matthew was confident I was ready for discharge, though he wanted to keep me for a few more days for final clearance.
“I would rather keep you here an extra day than send you out too early and have you seize in the middle of a council meeting." He said as a joke and I laughed along. He had no idea that that was the last thing on my mind. The council and the pack were the least of my worries.
