Mia's POV I lock myself in my room, not letting the sunlight nor anyone in. I'm... actually scared of going out to see the world. The trauma of my past still lingers in my brain even though it was two years ago. They say children forget things, but why is it I did not? Why is it that I can still feel those men's arms surrounding me? Taking me to God knows where they dump me? I shiver at the mere thought of those things. I don't want to go anywhere! I cover my ears as I hide under my covers.  Darkness has become my solace. It's the only thing that's real in my life and never changes... until I hear a man's voice- no, not yet a man, but a boy- outside my window. It's a very slight noise, but enough to tempt me to listen. I didn't cover my ears anymore as I hear him laugh and talk with my sister.  Then, I started peeking. At first, the sunlight almost blinded me, but then, I can't resist the boy's charm. I look until I see a bunch of dark hair, taller than my sister. His back facing me.  This started my habit of peeking through my curtains almost every day, waiting for the boy to come. He always comes here on Saturdays and most of the week like now. He always stays with my sister. It seems they're very close. My heart pains every time I see them. Silently, I wish I can be there, talk to him like my sister does.  The beautiful, lovely Lea doesn't have my problem. But I don't regret pushing my sister away when the car passed by us and grabbed me. It's better for one than two, right? What will happen to my parents if two of their children become abnormal?  I was just eight back then, and now, I'm ten. My elder sister is twelve.  I smile when Lea smiles and laughs with him. I didn't know I can still smile. Then, out of the blue, as if feeling my eyes on him... he looks up. My eyes widen, awestruck, by his ocean blue eyes. It's like gems shining against the light.  I hide, my heart beating so fast. I feel... weird. I have difficulty breathing, and my heart's about to explode. What is this? Should I call my maid? Or the hospital? Mom said that I have to call 911 if there are emergencies. I have to calm down and not panic.  I close my eyes, trying to calm down. I breathe deeply. Thankfully, I manage to relax. I didn't hear voices anymore, so, I recheck outside. I find the boy staring at me. Lea's not with him, maybe she went to get something?  The boy and I stare at each other, and he smiles so suddenly. My breathing literally stops for a moment as I soak in his dazzling smile. It's like the bad memories of the past disappear because of his brilliant smile. I blink my eyes, and he disappears from view like a fairy.  Where did he go? I panic, and I didn't peek anymore. I open my windows wide, almost half of my body hanging outside, looking for him.  "Matthias!" I head my sister's voice from far away, calling for the boy.  "Matthias," I repeat his name as I see him running towards my sister. "Matthias..."  "Oh, my God! Mia, you can't commit suicide!" I almost fall down when I hear my maid rushing towards me. I trace of grimace appears on my lips; they can be overreacting at times.  Anyway, today's the best day of my life. I finally know my angel's name.
