Polly took a deep breath. “I mean, he’s not exactly a bad person. He hasn’t harmed me in any way and . . . we’ve already been together before. He took good care of me when he brought me back.”
“You don’t blame him? You’ve forgiven him?” Sab was glad the girl was no longer fearful of the bastard.
“It’s been a while. I’m no longer angry with him. And he brought me back. That’s better than any apology.” She managed to smile, happy to be home.
