Alaric's POV
After they took Corinna, I needed a break. All I wanted was to be alone. While I watched her scared and hurt figure, I felt like my heart was breaking into pieces. My wolf was desperate to go after her, to stop everyone, and announce that she would stay with me regardless of the outcome of the trial. But I knew I couldn't do that. I could only hope that Barrett and Andreas would take care of her.
When I could no longer see her, I turned and rushed out of the room.
"Alaric!" I heard Morgana's voice behind me, but this time I ignored her. I couldn't blame her entirely, but she was one of the reasons Corinna needed to leave, and I hated her for it.
"Alaric!" She called again in the corridor. Even though I didn't stop, I felt her hand on my arm as she caught up to me.
