Damon POV It had been only a week since Kalilah fled again in the middle of the night. I was still struggling with her absence, my wolf going crazy. She shouldn’t be gone. Kalilah should be by my side and nowhere else, but what could I do? My mate, the woman who was supposed to become my Luna, was gone. I slammed the door to my office behind me, the wood rattling in the frame. My hands were shaking as I paced across the floor. “Damon,” Caden said quietly from the doorway. He was watching me like I might explode at any second. “You need to stop. You’re losing it.” Oh, why did he have to say such things to me? He was pissing me off. Even if he was right.
