Chapter Nineteen
“I should stay up here and away from her.” Owen said, turning to look at the wolf beside him. “I don’t trust myself around her. The demon keeps telling me how easy it would be to go down there and lead her to a dark corner. How I could take her against the wall, no one would see us. Drain her afterward.” He shook his head at what he was saying. “I know that’s not me and it’s a fight.”
Drake looked at his friend. Owen had never told him what his demon whispered to him before and what he was telling him now had him worried.
He heard the footsteps over the hum of the music before the knock came to the door. It was time to deal with this problem.
Then he could worry about Owen.
